Concord Integrated Preschool Program Overview
Welcome to the Concord Public Schools Integrated Preschool Program! Established in 2001, our program offers high-quality preschool education to children aged 3-4 years, serving as the first school experience for many of our district’s youngest students. We are proud to be part of the Concord community and extend our thanks to the families, staff, administration, and the broader community for their continued support as we grow and evolve.
Our integrated, language-based preschool model is designed to meet the diverse needs of all children. Each classroom provides a rich learning environment, with a teacher and two classroom assistants, and includes a balanced mix of typically developing children—selected through a lottery—and children who require specialized services as part of their Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). Children with IEPs are placed in the program by the Concord Public Schools Special Education TEAM. For children already enrolled at age three, priority for re-enrollment is given for the following year.
We are supported by a dedicated team of specialists, including a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and school psychologist, who provide direct services to children with IEPs while enhancing the experience for all students through classroom activities and consultations.
Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, creative, and fun, with teachers developing thematic activities that are both research-based and tailored to each child’s learning needs. We believe that learning should be an exciting and active process for every child.
Eligibility for the program is based on specific age requirements—children must be at least 3 years old but not turn 5 before September 1st. Only Concord residents or children of employees of Concord Public Schools/Concord-Carlisle Regional Public Schools are eligible to apply. Siblings of current students may receive priority placement depending on availability.
