Welcome Letter from the Parent Group Co-Presidents
Dear Concord Integrated Preschool Families,
My name is Kara Stokes and along with Maribeth Cusick, we are your Parent Group Co-Presidents for the 2017 – 2018 school year. We would like to welcome you to the fantastic family known as the Concord Integrated Preschool (CIPS). We are thrilled that you are part of the community where encouraging both children with disabilities and community peers to become independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners is held to the highest standard.
The purpose of the Parent Group is to support faculty, staff, parents and our students of the preschool. You do not have to “join” the parent group. Since you are a parent of a student enrolled in the CIPS Preschool program, you are automatically a member. Our hopes are that parents can volunteer whatever me allowable to participate in community activities, fundraisers and enrichment of the CIPS programs. Supporting the Parent Group through donations, volunteering and participating in fundraisers enables you to become engaged in the things that ma er most to you and your child’s education as well as the community. SignUpGenius emails will be sent to all parents when an opportunity to volunteer becomes available. Another way you can get involved is to a end Parent Group Meetings. These meetings are held generally once a month for about one to one-and-a-half hours. These meetings are a great way to become involved in the planning and implementation of upcoming events or to just hear about current events and what is on the horizon at the preschool.
We understand many families have both parents working during the day. It is important to us that all families feel they have the chance to be involved in Parent Group meetings; thus we will schedule evening Parent Group meetings throughout the year to give dual working households the ability to a end and not have to take me off of work during the day.
If you have any questions you can always grab Maribeth or myself at drop off, pick up or you can email them to CIPSParentGroup@gmail.com.
We look forward to an exciting school year together!
Sincerely, Kara Stokes and Maribeth Cusick, Parent Group Co-Presidents
